Actually all this "New Age" stuff is a misnomer, It is more of a return to the kind of stuff that has been around for thousands of years and used to be everyday knowledge and has been forgotten in our headlong rush to find a technological solution to every problem.
The Earth contains energies and powers that we need to re-learn about. One of the easiest to explore is the art of dowsing.
There had to be a really good reason why our ancestors decided to lug huge stones around the landscape without the benefit of the internal combustion engines, trouble is, we don't know what that reason is. There is a lot of circumstantial evidence that many of those sites were placed on lines of earth energy or Ley Lines, and these can be tracked and mapped by dowsing.
Over the centuries people have used dowsing techniques to locate essentials, such as water, coal, oil and have even been able to make a living at it. I have tried some simple dowsing and have been able to answer some questions myself. I hope to spend some time this year dowsing around some of the standing stones in the area.
